LukeCamp is a summer day camp for urban youth ages 7-14. LukeCamp includes tutoring, Bible study, job exploration, community service, fun and weekly reward field trips. LukeCamp concludes with a weeklong session of overnight camp, which has traditionally been held at Big Canoe in the North Georgia mountains. Activities conducted during this week include mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, swimming, spelunking and much more. The purpose of the final week of camp is to reward hard work and provide camper’s life experiences and challenges they have never encountered. The goal is that every camper discover God’s plan for their life, develop increased self-esteem, and build confidence and character. To change the life of a child, please make your tax deductible donation below:
The Big Canoe overnight reward week is something very special. This is the special reward trip kids in LukeCamp work hard to achieve. Most of the LukeCampers receiving this trip have never been outside of Atlanta nor have seen the beauty of mountains and lakes. They have the opportunity to hike, swim, explore caves, and take special offsite field trips into surrounding towns.
It is becasue of your generosity this can happen. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of these children.
The Climb For Kids Club represents a dynamic group of Atlanta's top business professionals who are raising money for LukeCamp. Every year this group climbs a mountain in the Western U.S. raising money for some very special kids.
LukeCamp provides 9-weeks of summer day camp and 1 week of overnight camp for children living in Atlanta's inner city.
This year our goal is to raise $20,000 in hopes of sending 40 children to LukeCamp. For every $500 we raise, we will send one student to LukeCamp during the summer where they learn to discover God's plan for their life and how to take personal responsibility and make wise choices.
